Practices using sound and vibration are one of the oldest forms of meditation in many traditions. On this retreat you will become immersed in the natural sounds and surroundings of our beautiful Tara Hills Retreat Centre as we explore these meditation pathways.
Finding a sense of union through sound can come in many ways – through music, through mantra and vocalisation, or through deeply feeling the resonance of instruments such as gongs.
It can also come through simply learning to rest in the sounds of the land and sky – allowing the mind to find a calm place of refuge in the natural environment and this is one of the essential components of retreat.
Opening to these experiences can have a deeply calming and healing effect on your mind and body as you let your body deeply relax and gently allow waves of feeling or emotions to flow through you.
This retreat will also feature a special ‘Soundbath’ meditation as well as live musical improvisation from Lifeflow teacher and professional violinist Ben Dollman.
On this very special weekend you’ll be completely taken care of including delicious vegetarian food, walks in nature with plenty of time for rest and to restore your energy as we explore meditation through sound.
‘A simply wonderful experience like nothing I’ve encountered before. It’s amazing what insight one can get from stillness and silence.’
– Jane, Tara Hills retreat participant
