You’re feeling the need to escape the ‘rat race’ and a retreat of some kind is desperately needed. Yet – you’re short on cash. Damn! While a luxury retreat sure would be nice, for now, you just need to get away, without spending a fortune.

Luckily, we’ve sourced a selection of the best budget retreats from across Australia. Sure, some of the facilities may be a little basic. You might share a kitchen or sleep in a bunk bed. Yet you’ll still get to see some pretty spectacular scenery and enjoy plenty of peace and quiet – and in many cases, even your meals and yoga classes are included.

And sometimes – going ‘budget’ might just give you that extra-special authentic and ‘off-the-beaten-track’ type experience you’ve been craving.
