Why psychedelic medicine (ketamine) Retreat?
Retreats offer a way to take a break from your daily life (and the noise of the world) for you to really “drop in” and be present with yourself. Group retreats allow for self exploration to happen interpersonally through authentic connection. This happens in the space where you witness another’s vulnerability; where you hear someone else’s story; and then also in the power of sharing your story and hearing others reflect and really see you. It creates a kind of depth and breadth of understanding that often isn’t possible in 1:1 work.
Psychedelics are “heart opening medicines” that can help a person soften internal defenses, experience perspective shifts often related to connecting with something greater than self, foster new insights, and create the internal atmosphere for deeper level healing. The psychedelic is not actually the medicine. Although research studies have shown that psychedelics do actually heal the brain, the real medicine is in the entire process – from preparation, to journey, and most importantly “integration”. Integration is the weaving of the insights and experience into your everyday life. Psychedelics have been used have been used for thousands of years by indigenous communities to heal. More recently, they have been used (with profoundly positive results) by the modern medicine world to treat trauma, anxiety, and depression. Common side effects of psychedelics often include: a stronger sense of need for community, encounter with the “divine” or “sacred” (sense of reverence), a new calling for stewardship, increased empathy with self and others, increased compassion for self and others, decreased fear, and increased sense of hope.
Who is this retreat for?
For women looking to embark on a co-created wellness journey with heart aligned introspective women. This experience aims to transcend into a deeper sense of inner knowing to facilitate healing and growth not always possible in traditional one on one therapy. This close-knit group will engage in connecting and contemplative practices that can help ground and nurture your mind, body, and spirit. We will sit in stillness, there may be tears, there will be laughter, there may be moments where you feel challenged – through it all, you will be deeply honored and loved.
