Join Tasmanian watercolour Artist Sarah Pienig for a relaxing weekend of watercolour at beautiful Rathmore Farm in the Central Highlands of Tasmania.
Sarah is an experienced artist and teacher, well known for her warm non-traditional watercolour art and textile designs. Over the course of the weekend she will guide you through the process to create a framed artwork to take home, inspired by her popular print “Tasmanian Studies” and our beautiful surroundings at Rathmore farm. Sarah’s workshop content is designed to cater for complete beginners wanting to learn through to more experienced artists who are looking for an enjoyable weekend away painting with like minded people – fun and relaxation over perfection!
Rathmore is situated on Big River nation land in the central highlands, just over an hour from Hobart and two hours from Launceston.
Your weekend stay includes:
-2 nights accommodation – choose between heritage rooms in beautiful Rathmore House or sweet ensuite rooms, part of Rathmore’s original shearers’ quarters
-check in from 3pm on Friday 17th & checkout after lunch on Sunday 19th
pre dinner canapes and sparkling wine
-beautiful evening meals incl. two glasses of white, red or sparkling wine
-country picnic lunches, and breakfasts of muesli, fruit, yoghurt, and toast with homemade jams
-plenty of free time for as much or as little private space as you’d like
-workshop content designed to cater from complete beginners through to more experienced artists
-maximum of twelve participants to ensure plenty of one-on-one support from Sarah
-your very special framed watercolour to take home with lovely memories attached.The total all inclusive cost for our weekend retreat is $1145pp for a single occupancy room or $895 pp in a shared Queen or Twin room (limited twin rooms available).
25% deposit is required to secure your spot, with the balance payable in instalments.This weekend retreat experience is brought to you by Wattlebird workshops, fun and friendly small group workshops and retreats from Tasmanian artists and makers.
