Reflection & Renewal – finding meaning wherever you are meditation retreat, SA
The end of the year is a perfect time for reflection, and to take stock of where you might be in your life.
And if it’s been a difficult year, or you’re facing difficult circumstances, you can guarantee that taking time for yourself will leave you more nourished and better prepared for the new year ahead.
Even when life is pretty good though, you can often find yourself in those niggly states of mind all too often where you aren’t enjoying or appreciating what you have or the environment around you.
On this retreat, you will gain an understanding of how you create those states of mind yourself, and how you can shift them to be a more open, loving and resourceful state – leaving you free to enjoy your life more instead of staying stuck.
A key ‘state of mind’ and one that you can always access (but sometimes don’t notice) is the feeling of gratitude.
When you begin to practise gratitude, your feeling of wellbeing improves and then begin to more deeply appreciate what you have and what is around you.
On this retreat, you will find out how to cultivate gratitude as a love for your own life.
This comes from not trying to make your life perfect, but rather by accepting and opening to what you do have and the humble yet amazing nature of your body and mind.
Developing this openness is a form of love itself and something you can bring to your own life as it is.
You’ll find compassion for yourself and others for getting caught in emotional difficulties, and in turn, find gratitude for the good things you have.
Being part of a group environment on retreat will help you to develop and consider these distinctions and find strength in a common interest and commitment to finding what is real and valuable for you.
A highlight will be an optional nature meditation and walk in beautiful Beaumont Common.
