Photography Masterclass Retreat QLD – The Art of Seeing 1.01 – 17 – 20th June 2022
The spectacular surroundings of the Great Barrier Reef take this Photography Retreat to a whole new level!
Combine this with the opportunity to join Canon Master photographer Darren Jew, and it’s bound to be this amazing experience. Darren will share the techniques and processes that have seen him create sought-after and award-winning landscape, wildlife and underwater images throughout his career.
If you have beginner to intermediate photography skills, Darren will provide you with strong foundations on which to build and grow as a photographer. You’ll learn to identify and apply his five key “ingredients” of successful image-making; Technique, Composition, Subject, Storytelling and Innovation. You’ll have quality time above and below the water, learning the role that each ingredient plays in image creation, and applying your skills under Darren’s expert guidance.
As if this wasn’t enough, you’ll be staying at the Lady Musgrave HQ, a new three-level pontoon nestled in the sheltered waters of the Lady Musgrave Island Lagoon. This bespoke 35 metre by 12 metre pontoon provides independent snorkel and dive platforms, as well as seamless access to high-speed dive boats, the glass bottom boat and the luxury catamaran Reef Empress. A core attraction is the underwater observatory, where you can view marine life and the corals by day and by night.
Also included in the retreat are the transfers on a luxury catamaran from Bundaberg, morning and afternoon tea provided; daily breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared by the onboard Chef, showcasing local and seasonal produce; an informative glass-bottom boat tour and guided island walk; a sunrise and sunset cruise and island time to capture the wildlife of Lady Musgrave Island; an outer reef snorkel trip to experience the larger pelagics, turtles, sharks, manta rays and a more diverse underwater world teeming with a vast array of marine life; and snorkel equipment hire to discover the underwater world of Lady Musgrave Island Lagoon.
